About downloading from Instagram

Instagram gives you no way to save someone else's Reel or photo, and screenshots throw away most of the quality. Paste a post link here and you get the original file the app itself loads — full resolution, no re-compression on our side.

Reels, feed videos, single photos and multi-image carousels are all handled. Carousels list every slide separately so you can save just the ones you want, or pull the whole set in one archive.

Only public posts can be reached. Private accounts, close-friends stories and anything that requires being logged in as a follower are not accessible, which is by design on Instagram's side.

What you can pull out

  • Reels and feed videos as MP4
  • Original-resolution photos
  • Every slide of a carousel, listed one by one
  • The video cover image

FAQ

Instagram downloader questions

Can I download from a private account?
No. Private posts are only served to logged-in followers, and this tool does not ask for or use Instagram credentials. If you cannot open the link in a browser where you are signed out, we cannot reach it either.
Do the photos come out at full resolution?
You get the largest file Instagram publishes for that post, which is what the app itself displays. Note that Instagram already compresses images at upload time, so the original camera file is not something any downloader can recover.
Are Stories supported?
Stories generally require a logged-in session, so they are outside what this page can reach. Reels and regular posts are the reliable cases.
Will the creator know I downloaded their post?
No. We fetch the public file the same way a browser loading the page would, and Instagram shows creators no notification for that. Do keep in mind that the content still belongs to whoever made it.
